India's trade with China surpassed $125 billion in 2021, while imports from China would approach a record $100 billion, indicating ongoing demand for a variety of Chinese goods, particularly machinery. Imports increased by 30% year on year, while India's exports to China increased by up to 56% year on year to $28.1 billion. The top three trading partners grew by 28.1 percent (to $878.2 billion) with ASEAN, 27.5 percent (to $828.1 billion) with the European Union, and 28.7 percent (to $755.6 billion) with the United States.
